EXCLUSIVE (Allegedly) — A recent investigation by Peoples Gazette has revealed that Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has allegedly gone on a land allocation spree, awarding prime residential plots in Abuja’s elite Guzape district to members of his immediate and extended family, including his 90-year-old father, brothers, cousins, and other known associates.

According to documents published by Peoples Gazette, two “Offer of Statutory Right of Occupancy” letters from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) confirm the allocations:

Public Outrage Mounts

The alleged allocations have triggered criticism on social media, with many describing the move as abuse of public office, nepotism, and a violation of due process in public land administration. Critics argue that Abuja’s prime lands should be transparently distributed and not reserved for political officeholders’ relatives.

A growing number of civil society voices are calling for:

  • A full investigation into all land allocations under Minister Wike’s tenure
  • Immediate suspension of allocations pending review
  • Accountability from the FCTA and other oversight bodies
